Game Preview: Rasner vs. Padres

Game Time:7:05EST
TV:Ch4, YES

Apologies for being a little late with creating this preview post, but we are only two innings into the game thanks to a rain delay so it will suffice. The Yankees are looking to continue the surge tonight, with a sixth straight win. Darrell Rasner will try to rebound after a couple of sour outings, and I think the lackluster Padres are a perfect team to do it against. The Yankee offense may not do as well as in recent games because Jake Peavy will be on the mound for San Diego, but a win is certainly plausible.

Here is your Yankee lineup:
Damon LF
Jeter SS
Abreu RF
Rodriguez 3B
Giambi DH
Posada C
Cano 2B
Betemit 1B
Cabrera CF
Rasner P

Injury note: Hideki Matsui is not in the lineup due to a swollen left knee. He is supposed to get the fluid drained out of the knee and will also receive an examination. Currently it looks like it won’t be too much of a problem, thankfully.
