Joe Dimaggio

Joe DimaggioJoe Dimaggio a.k.a. Joltin’ Joe played center field for the Yankees for all of his career. He won three MVP awards and appeared in 13 All-Star games in 13 years; he is the only player to make the All-Star team every year that he played. Dimaggio was the center of a Yankees dynasty which won several championships. His most notable achievement is his 56 game hitting streak, which is the longest in baseball history, where he had a hit in 56 consecutive games. No one has even come close to matching this feat. After his streak was broken he began another one which lasted 16 consecutive games. He was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1955.
