Moose Gets 10th Win

Three straight! We won again last night against the Astros and Mike Mussina got his AL-leading 10 wins (Cliff Lee also has 10.) The veteran pitched six solid innings in which he allowed three runs on six hits. Ross Ohlendorf, Kyle Farnsworth, and Edwar Ramirez would each pitch an inning afterwards. Ohlendorf was the only one to give up a run. It wasn’t enough to help the Astros though as they ended the game with four runs opposed to the Yankees’ eight.

The eight runs is a good sign because the Yankee offense has been in a bit of a cold streak of late (although we have still won most of the games due to excellent pitching.) Today they combined for twelve hits including a fan-aided inside-the-park home run by Alex Rodriguez. Johnny Damon accounted for three of the twelve hits as he continues to hit well this season.

Let’s see if we can pull the sweep against the Astros in tomorrow’s afternoon game (2:05EST.) Chien-Ming Wang will start for the pinstripes and Roy Oswalt for Houston. You can catch the game on YES.
